Stick Camp Canada is an opportunity to mingle, learn, compose and perform with fellow Stick players from around the world. This year’s event is an Urban Stick Camp, in the Gastown district at the heart of Vancouver. Stick Camp is a great opportunity to share ideas and techniques.
It is a celebration of Emmett Chapman’s Free Hands technique.
Stick Camp Canada 2021 is the 19th Chapman Stick gathering in British Columbia hosted by Vancouver Stick player Jim Meyer, each featuring international Stick players.
This year we take over 2nd Floor Gastown – a dining and performance space above the Water Street Cafe in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver.
Historic Gastown, Vancouver’s first neighbourhood, was names after “Gassy” Jack Deighton, a seaman and steamboat captain, but best known for opening the first saloon in the area.
